MILESTONE
1976
Mr. Atthavit Inkanankul founded the ONG SAND BLASTING COMPANY LIMITED to import and distribute electrical appliances in Thailand, selling products such as steam irons, rice cookers and emergency lighting.
1979
The company began focusing on emergency lighting systems and trademarked the brand SUNNY.
1983
After focusing on entering the emergency lighting market Mr. Atthavit Inkanankul constructed a manufacturing facility to produce emergency lighting units in Thailand under the Sunny Electric Industry company.
1988
The SUNNY brand received the “SUNNY emergency lighting products, the quality of Thailand” award from THE STANDARD newspaper
1989
SUNNY received the Thailand’s quality product award from the minister of industry, Mr Banharn Silpa-Archa.
1989
Mr. Atthavit Inkanankul changed the name of the company from Sunny Electric Industry to Sunny Engineering Limited with the aim of taking the organization to the next level. The company now has both a research and design team for emergency lighting and emergency signs as well as a manufacturing facility and a sales team.
1995
SUNNY became the first distributor in Thailand to receive the TISI 1102-2538 certificate for emergency lighting system on the 24th of July 1995 from the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). We also received the TISI 885-2532 certification for electrical ballast for use with AC current.
2000
SUNNY developed and patented circuits for emergency lighting units and emergency fire exit signs under patent number 285.
2003
SUNNY developed emergency lighting units with built-in automatic battery discharging circuits and patented it under patent number 2062.
2004
SUNNY received TISI 1955-2542 certifications for our lighting and similar equipment ensuring that none of our products emit excessive radio interference. In the same year SUNNY also developed an auto discharging circuit for batteries and patented it under patent number 1378.
2005
SUNNY also received quality management certification ISO9001 : 2000 from Global Certification Service Ltd.
2006
SUNNY received the TISI 1291-2542 certification for continuous electrical power systems.
2011
SUNNY received quality management certification ISO9001 : 2008 from Global Certification Service Ltd. Sunny Engineering Limited also changed its name to IsOn Import-Export Co. Ltd. and started exporting products internationally.
2012
SUNNY’s battery products received the UL certification. SUNNY also received TISI 1955-2551 certifications for our lighting and similar equipment ensuring that none of our products emit excessive radio interference.
2017
Our emergency lighting units and emergency exit signs received the CE certifications.
2019
• SUNNY developed special circuits to detect gaseous vapor and fire smoke and patented it under patent number 15954.
• We also developed a new and improved battery charging circuit and patented it under patent number 15955.
2020
• SUNNY received quality management certification ISO9001 : 2015 from Global Certification Service Ltd.
